The 2024 BNP Paribas Open will end today in Indian Wells, California, as No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz faces off against No. 4 Daniil Medvedev in a rematch of last year's BNP Paribas Open Final.

Alcaraz comes into this match off the heels of his biggest win of the season, a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 semifinal win against Jannik Sinner, where he earned his 11th straight win at Indian Wells and ended Sinner's remarkable 19-match win streak.

While the match looked like it was over once Sinner claimed the first set in 34 minutes, the youngster bounced back and dominated.

In the other semifinal matchup, the match looked like it was over for Medvedev, who won just six points on serve in the first set. His opponent, Tommy Paul, impressed with a barrage of powerful forehands and a strong serve-and-volley.

Yet, just like in the other semifinal, Medvedev's tank was far from empty.

The seasoned hard-court veteran bounced back, edging the American out in a tightly contested three-set match.

World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz enters the finals with hopes of winning his second consecutive BNP Paribas Open title.

The Spaniard has had a dominant run throughout the tournament, with high-quality and dominant wins against opponents such as Alexander Zverev and, most recently, Jannik Sinner, a player who had not lost a match in 2024.

The 20-year-old not only looks fully healthy after suffering an injury back in February at the Rio Open but also looks as in-form as ever, dominating with athleticism and strong net play.

On the other end, 2023 BNP Paribas Open runner-up Daniil Medvedev has played quite well throughout this year's draw, with hard-fought wins against opponents such as Grigor Dimitrov, Holger Rune, Sebastian Korda, and most recently Tommy Paul.

Medvedev is an extraordinary hard-court player, and his 260 hard-court wins since 2018 are the most on tour.

While Medvedev can beat Alcaraz as demonstrated in the past, he has seldom come short in the biggest moments and cannot afford to get down early to Alcaraz.
